Scenic out and back course on dirt roads with ponds and hills through Calais and Woodbury.
Or share the run with a partner in the 13 mi./7 mi. 2 person relay!

Adamant Music School, Adamant, VT
DIRECTIONS: From Montpelier, follow Main St. through the roundabout and up the hill. Main St. becomes County Rd. At 6 miles from the roundabout turn right on Haggett Rd. proceeding 1.2 miles to Adamant. Park at the Adamant Methodist Church or across the street at the Concert Hall parking.

Adamant Music School is recognized as New England’s premier center for piano study. The school attracts faculty and students from all over the world bringing classical music to central Vermont each summer.

REGISTRATION: To pre-register, download and print application... see below. (For relay, each participant must register individually.)

Race Day Registration 8:30-9:45 a.m. at Adamant Music School Barney Hall, 1216 Haggett Rd, Adamant (across from the waterfall).
FEE: $20 until April 24, $25 post-registration
NOTE: each relay partner must register individually
STARTING TIME: 10:00 am
PRIZES, etc.: Prizes to 1st overall M & F and 1st M & F in each 10 year age division in the running race. Relay awards to top male team, female team and mixed team.
AID STATIONS: Approximately every 2 miles along course, including Gatorade and water. Post race refreshments including hearty soups and bread at Barney Hall.

INDIVIDUAL RUNNERS start with a 1 mile out and back on Sodom Pond Rd, then head up Adamant Rd which becomes Singleton Rd. At the end, bear left onto N Calais Rd. In 2.5 miles, turn left onto #10 Pond Rd, which becomes Cranberry Meadow Rd. The turnaround is just before Cranberry Meadow intersects County Rd. The course returns the same way, however the Sodom Pond out/back is not repeated.
THE RELAY The relay exchange is at mile 13 (further details coming soon.) Relay participants are responsible for their own transportation or carpooling to the exchange point. Cars are encouraged to use County Rd to avoid increased traffic on the race course.
NOTE: This is a scenic, but hilly dirt road course. It is designed as a good last long training run for Vermont City Marathon, however marathoners are encouraged to pace themselves slower than desired marathon pace for optimal marathon results.

I know that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity.
I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly
trained. I agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative
to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated
with running in this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact
with other participants, the effects of the weather, including heat
and/or humidity, traffic and the condition of the road, all such risks
being known and appreciated by me.
Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration
your accepting of my entry, I, for myself and anyone else entitled to
act on my behalf, waive and release the Central Vermont Runners, Adamant
Cultural Foundation, Behre Piano Assoc., and all sponsors, their
representatives and successors from all claims and liabilities of any
kind arising out of my participation in this event even though that
liability may arise out of negligence orcarelessness on the part of
the persons named in this waiver.
