July 24, Barre Heritage Festival 5K Trail Race, at Millstone, Barre Town. Run past Barre's historic quarries on beautiful trails at Millstone Hill Touring Center. August 5, Berlin Pond 5 Miler, Berlin Town Clerk's office. 5 Mile loop around Berlin Pond, mix of flat and hilly dirt roads, part of the CVR ORS Race Series. Race day registration only (4:30 - 5:45 pm), Contact: Jeff Prescott | jeffp_cvr@myfairpoint.net.

August 7, Onion River Sports Duathlon Series Race 3, 9:00am Morse Farm. Race starts with a 3K trail run, followed by a 15K mountain bike, and finishes with a 3K trail run. Course takes you through the ski trails, singletrack, forest, and fields of beautiful Morse Farm. All participants have a chance to receive raffle prizes, and awards for top individual and team finishers given at each race. Free 1/4 mile kid's race at 10:45am. $5 (or $10 per family) or food donation for the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf.
