Berlin Pond Five Miler, Thursday August 11, 6 pm

Berlin Town Clerk's office, 108 Shed Rd., Berlin

Certified 5 mile loop course counter-clockwise around Berlin Pond on dirt roads with one water stop. First half very hilly; second half relativley flat. Part of the CVR ORS Race Series. Parking at Town Clerk's office only. No parking along race course.
Race day registration only 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm at the Berlin Town Clerk's offices, 108 Shed Rd, Berlin. See entry form.
Starting time is 6 pm, and race start is one-half mile from the registration venue. Thus registration will close at 5:45 pm sharp.

Fee: $5.00.

Awards:

  • Top 3 overall male and female
  • Age group awards male & female:
    0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (1 to 3 deep per category based on number of registrations)
    PLUS: Special awards for the King and Queen of the Hills. First male and female to reach highest point on course (~ 1.75 miles). Must finish in top 10 overall for gender.

Also: No baby joggers. No headphones. No dogs.
Directions: Exit 7 off I-89 to the light, take a right past the Maplewood Convenience Store, take next right onto Crosstown Road/Paine Turnpike, take next right onto Shed Road, Town Clerk's office at the end of Shed Road.

East Montpelier Center Chase Race, Thursday August 25, 6 pm

5 miles, Old Meeting House, Center Road, East Montpelier

Loop course on rolling dirt roads. Will have a staggered race start based on age and gender.
Race day registration only (5:00-5:45 pm) at Old Meeting House, parish house.
Fee: $5.00. (Proceeds of race go to social service projects at the Old Meeting House.)
Awards: Top five finishers, each gender, receive awards.
Directions: At the downtown Montpelier intersection of State St. and Main St., take a left onto Main Street, heading northeast. Approximately 9/10 of a mile up Main St., it will turn sharply left on a steep hill. Stay on Main St. for another mile until you bear right onto Center Rd. (just past a cemetery.) Stay on Center Rd. for approximately 1.7 miles... the Old Meeting House will be on your right.

Sodom Pond Run, Wednesday September 21, 6 pm

4 miles, Adamant Coop, Adamant

Rolling dirt road course around Adamant's Sodom Pond.
Race day registration only (5:00-5:45 pm) at the white house across from the Adamant Coop in the heart of downtown Adamant Village.
Fee: $5.00.
Awards: In female and male age groups 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Directions: At the downtown Montpelier intersection of State St. and Main St., take a left onto Main Street, heading northeast. Approximately 9/10 of a mile up Main St., it will turn sharply left on a steep hill. Stay on Main St. for another mile until you bear right onto Center Rd. (just past a cemetery.) Stay on Center Rd. for the next 3.4 miles until you come to a "twisted t" intersection. Continue straight through the intersection for an additional 1.5 miles until you come to another intersection, facing the Adamant Coop.
